All schools (public, private, parochial, charter & homeschool groups) located in Lorain County are eligible for participating in the county-wide combined-grades 3&4 and combined-grades 5&6 Spelling Bees sponsored by the Educational Service Center of Lorain County. Each district may enter up to 3 spellers in each Bee.
Both bees will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. Students need to report to the Green Room no later than 5:30 p.m.
Advisors are asked to read the Letter to Bee Advisor and to review the UPDATED 2024 Gr 3-6 Rules/Guidelines with their students in the weeks prior to the ESCLC Bees. An advisor or representative for each school is required to be present with their students. Advisors may adapt the standard Letter to Parents to provide your speller’s family with information regarding the ESCLC Bee by personalizing it with any pertinent information from your school. Please download our Bee Photo-Video Permission Statement and make sure parents receive it. We no longer need permission forms sent to the ESC for this event.
