Sonya Heineman Kunkel, international presenter, teacher and administrator, will provide a two-day comprehensive professional development to:
  • Introduce best practices to close achievement gaps
  • Embed specially designed instruction
  • Provide opportunities to grow to start or grow your program through planning, data considerations, parity and collaboration.
  • Learn instructional strategies and be ready to have fun!

Presenter:  Sonya H. Kunkel
Sonya is a veteran educator, known for her expertise in special education. She has received many awards, for example: State Inclusive Teacher of the Year. She is a published researcher (International Journal of Learning, Teaching and Educational Research Vol. 16, No. 5, pp. 1-13, May 2017), an author of several books, webinars, videos and other resources, and an international professional developer, including presenting at the International Special Education conference in Perth, Australia. She is an advocate for people with disabilities known for her creative and practical approaches. Recently, Sonya has retired from Public School as a Special Education Administrator, and now works collaboratively to consult with administrators and teachers in a local school district to develop, support and coordinate special education services. Sonya focuses on practices that support a continuum of services to provide education benefit to students with IEPs.

EVENTS REQUIRING A REGISTRATION FEE:  We must receive your cancellation in writing by emailing [email protected] at least 24-hours prior to the event date for a full refund. If you do not cancel or are a no-show, you/your district will be charged/invoiced the full event fee.

EVENTS WITH NO REGISTRATION FEE:   We must receive your cancellation in writing by emailing [email protected] at least 24-hours  prior to the event.  If you do not cancel or are a no-show, you/your district will be invoiced a $25 registration fee since our presenters prepare their presentation and may charge an event/planning fee.

In the case of an emergency or situations out of the ordinary, registrations are transferable to another colleague.
