CPR in Schools Kit Facilitator Training

Registration Details:
Since the 2017-2018 school year, The Ohio Legislature has mandated instruction in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators AED in high schools.

The American Heart Association has received funding from ODE and Workforce to support your efforts to train public high school student towards the graduation requirement.

The fully-funded program will include both physical resources, CPR in Schools Training Kit age appropriate curriculum, and staff training to assist facilitators in teaching the lifesaving skills of CPR and AED use in just one class period, in as little as 20 minutes, depending on class size.

All Ohio public high schools are eligible for this free program, though resources are limited and will be disseminated on a first come-first served basis.

  • CPR in Schools Kit(s) for your campus
  • Introduction to Kit contents
  • Facilitator Guide demonstration
  • Sample classroom set up
  • AHA CPR professional to answer questions

CANCELLATION POLICY:
EVENTS REQUIRING A REGISTRATION FEE:  We must receive your cancellation in writing by emailing [email protected] at least 24-hours prior to the event date for a full refund. If you do not cancel or are a no-show, you/your district will be charged/invoiced the full event fee.

EVENTS WITH NO REGISTRATION FEE:   We must receive your cancellation in writing by emailing [email protected] at least 24-hours  prior to the event.  If you do not cancel or are a no-show, you/your district will be invoiced a $25 registration fee since our presenters prepare their presentation and may charge an event/planning fee.

In the case of an emergency or situations out of the ordinary, registrations are transferable to another colleague.
