Target Audience:  K-12 Math Teachers

Teachers often find it difficult to implement lessons that help students go beyond rote memorization and repetitive calculations.  Peter Liljedahl has translated his 15 years of research into a guide on how to move toward a thinking classroom.  Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics helps K-12 teachers implement 14 optimal practices for thinking that create an ideal setting for deep mathematics learning to occur.

Participants will learn about the practices and begin to implement them in their own classrooms.  We will hold 4, hour and a half long Zooms to discuss the practices and reflect on their impact.

EVENTS WITH NO REGISTRATION FEE:   We must receive your cancellation in writing by emailing [email protected] at least 24 hours prior to the event.  If you do not cancel or are a no-show, you/your district will be invoiced a $25 registration fee since our presenters prepare their presentation and may charge an event/planning fee.
