A one-day workshop with award-winning author
Michelle Houts 
 
Do you have a great picture book idea?  Always wanted to write a chapter book?  A middle-grade novel?  The next Young Adult blockbuster?
This workshop is for you! 
 

How long should my manuscript be?    Do I need an agent? Do I have to find my own

illustrator?   Who should I submit to? How do I find critique partners? What should I

say in my query letter?   What are the marketing trend in children’s literature? 

*Note: This workshop focuses on traditional publishing.

 Registration Fee:  $125 payable to ESCLC

Optional 1 Semester Grad Workshop Credit through Ashland Univ. - $205 

Participants will receive a coupon for 20% off the written critique of a complete picture book manuscript or partial longer manuscript.  Writing Magic: Creating Stories that Fly  by Gail Carson Levine will be offered for purchase ($8) Book purchase required if taking the workshop for graduate credit.
