Professional Development

The ESC provides high-quality professional development opportunities to educators on scientific research based best practices (NCLBO) to improve the academic achievement of children and youth with disabilities and those at risk of being identified as disabled.

Our professional development opportunities include:
• In-services
• College-credit courses
• Study groups
• Professional Learning Community Network meetings
• Online-credit courses
We also provide opportunities on topics related to the education of children with disabilities for parents and caregivers, as well as Parent Mentor Services.
Please contact Moira Erwine for your professional development requests at 440.324.5777 ext. 1156 or
We are enhancing our Professional Development to better support our participants with implementing what they learn.  When you register for a face to face training you can anticipate an invitation as a member of a community and/or a Learning Pathway. You will be provided with a "Getting Started" Module which will provide you with an orientation on how to navigate the platform as well as an opportunity to create your profile. There is no additional cost to use Eduplanet21 when it is part of your face to face session.

Some of our events will include a 'flipped' assignment.  That is an assignment to complete prior to attending the event.  Many will include follow up modules to ensure you are supported with your implementation of the new learning.

If you are interested in taking a Global Learning Pathway, there will be a charge of $75 per seat.  You can find all of the Global Learning Pathways available by selecting My Institutes.
